Two weeks ago, yes I am that far behind with posts :), I met up with Ben & Anmar for their e-session. I went to high school with Anmar, and when I saw her again she was that same friendly, bubbly and outgoing person I saw back in high school(dare I say 8 years ago). Anmar is the head chef on a private motor Yacht, she is currently in Italy, I only hope she has good sea legs because I get sick just looking at boat. Ben is a bosun on a sailboat (that is 2 ranks below captain – go Ben!!!!!) and works on the biggest classic racing schooner, Elena(wow, one day when I have enough sea-sick pills and money, I would love to go on one). Ben is camera shy…very camera shy, the only time he laughed for the camera was when Anmar was saying something funny! LOL, the way they complement each other is so cute. Here, in a nutshell is the story of a sailor and a chef.
2007, Monaco – Anmar introduces herself to Ben at a crew party, after Ben shamelessly kept staring at Anmar. He asks her email and the next morning sends the first of many e-letters, and, as Anmar put it “the rest is history”. How wonderful it must be to be in love with someone whilst your in Europe…they had their first date in Cannes, need I say more?
They see each other as often as they can, but it causes them to travel a lot, I dont see a problem here as they are in Europe!
March 2009, Switzerland – Ben visits Anmar at the chalet she was cheffing at (can I say cheffing? it sounds really cool!) They go snowboarding – awesome! afterwards Anmar and Ben walk back to the chalet, Anmar realizes Ben is not walking anymore, she turns around and sees the writing in the snow….”Will you marry me?” of course she says yes otherwise I would be blogging about it ;)
I hope you guys are enjoying Europe, I love it there in the winter, it is so beautiful, like a fairy tale…and very cold, so drink your Vitamin C.
