Sjoei, feels like ages since I last blogged! So glad to be back home with my dog Rambo and my family, I had an amazing time in Austria and have so much to blog that it’s not even funny. If you bare with me, you might be lucky enough to see two blogs per day, now, I’m not promising anything…but lets hope :)
Hendrik & Michelle, friends of mine, got married in Potchefstroom on Friday, 30 April at the Feather Hill Spa. Their engagement session can be viewed here. The week was extremely busy, as I had been in Mpumalanga for nearly 2 weeks, I went from Malelane all the way to Potchefstroom and the next day returned to Nelspruit for Lyle and Lindi’s wedding…that is coming up next – the day after that I had to return to Gauteng to finish up some work, covering about 1500km in 2 days. Brutal, but well worth the distance. What a wedding! Let me introduce to you Mr. and Mrs. de Beer! You guys looked amazing on your wedding day and I’m so glad I got to be apart of it. The booth will be up shortly.
This was so beautiful, I forwarded the text message to myself from Michelle’s phone…just so I can blog it ;) It is a txt message from Hendrik to Michelle, an hour before the wedding.
“Ja my bokkie, ek gaan jou die laaste keer sms voor ek jou sien, en dan gaan ek jou bel voor ek daar in die kerkie vir my vroutjie gaan sit en wag. Ek is by ons huisie en gaan maar so stadig begin klaar maak, my maag draai en ek bewe, oor minder as 2 ure is dit die tyd waarvoor ons so baie na uitgesien het! Die dag het mooi geword en ons 2 gaan hom later vervolmaak. Ek’t jou baie lief my Skat! Mwha!”
For those of you who dont understand Afrikaans, In a nutshell Hendrik tells Michelle that this is his last text to her before they get married and he will be waiting for her in front of the church. He says he cannot wait to to be with her and to for-fill this perfect day.
