Schalk & Rynali {Wedding} Part 2

Part 2 of Schalk & Rynali's Wedding. I have to thank Marlize, Rynali's maid of honour, she helped me out taking some photos here and there. She also studied graphic design & photography :D It's always nice to have someone help out, Marlize you are awesome!

Can I just say that my bride & groom looked so stunning! It was so special doing the bride&groom session - when Schalk & Rynali looked at each other it was really hard to get them to look away. I could see how happy Schalk & Rynali was and how they just wanted to stare at each other the whole time. Okay, and Schalk wanted to stare at the beautiful BUICK too, who wouldn't, what a stunning car, it fits so well with the couple. I stand to be corrected, but I think the Buick is a 1950's Super Riviera with a eight cylinder engine (who knows...I'm a girl, so I really don't have any knowledge...I just googled it ;) all I know is that it's really pretty, like my bride & groom. Do you remember Schalk & Rynali? I shot their e-session a couple of months ago, to view it, go HERE!

The day started out beautifully! It was blue skies and clouds (just the way I like it). Spring had just started and everything was new! On this day Schalk & Rynali stood before God and made the ultimate promise, to love one another, forever. Both of them were so excited for this day to start (Once dressed, Rynali stood at the window, looking out and asking when everyone was going to move in to the church - she didn't want to wait a minute longer), Schalk was already in the church waiting. It made me so excited for them, they started their life together on 11 September 2010.

Part 2 of this lovely wedding. It was such a beautiful day. I also got a chance to shoot at Irene Dairy Farm again, I seriously love that place. If you know of places in PTA or Joburg, similar to Irene Dairy Farm please let me know :) would love some new shooting grounds. So excited to post these photos, enjoy!

Rudy & Luzanne {Wedding} Part 1

I met Rudy & Luzanne in the beginning of the year and thought; WOW, what a lovely couple. It would be a real treat to photograph these two...well, turns out I was fortunate enough to shoot their wedding. The wedding was in a class of its own, Luzanne's so organized, when I met up with them before the wedding, she had this huge wedding file (like the one you always see in the Movies...chick flicks) she had everything that you can possibly imagined, I was in awe. The wedding was held at the Irene Country Lodge with its beautiful chandeliered hallways and bathrooms...yes the bathrooms have chandeliers. And it was so so fitting, Luzanne & Rudy's theme was chandeliers inspired. It screamed style and sophistication.

Schalk & Rynali are the sweetest couple. They are getting married in September, just outside of Pretoria. My favourite question to ask; How did they meet?

They met 8 years ago on a blind date...yeah, I thought that only happens in the movies. My blind dates normally turn out to be really weird guys with the strangest habbits ;) [note to self: give blind dates another go] Anywhoo, both of them hated the idea of going on this date and tried hard to get out of it, but , their mutual friend, friendly forced them to go on the blind date. Needless to say, at the end of their date Cupid used his magic and the two were in love, and its crystal clear that they still are.

On the 13th of February I shot John & Leonie wedding, at Lombardy Estate in Pretoria. It was a small beautiful ceremony with close friends and family. Here are some of the shots I got of the couple. Leonie you and John make a beautiful couple, I wish you all the best in your journey ahead.

I did a e-session for Eugene & Vanessa in November last year and just fell in love with this couple. They can smile just once and brighten up your day, when they laugh you’ll wish you had their smiles. It was truly an honour to share their wedding day with me.

Diep in die Berg is also hosting a competition this year…it is awesome! I know I don’t have a boyfriend, but I can enter and go on a hunt for the perfect man(gmpf!!! They are almost all taken, I can still hope though, right?)

On the day of the wedding I had the pleasure of working with my friend Adele Cabanillas from Abigail Reese Photography, she also took my gorgeous profile pictures. She is a talented photographer based in the Seattle area in the USA. She is also South African and comes to SA at least once a year to come and take some photos of all her clients here, her business is named after the sweetest little angel in the world Abigail Reese (one of my favourite people – I miss you Abigail!)
