I'm posting about my friends Hylgard and Charlien Lourens, parents of two. I've done a couple of shoots for them in the past, here is their last shoot. In February this year I met new born, Nicolien Lourens, she has grown a couple of inches now and got a bubbling personality with the new inches. I'm so glad we got to do this shoot, do yourself a favour and go see how much Nicolien has grown in just 5 months, the saying They grow up so quickly is there for a reason. In the first couple of years of your child's life it is important to capture them as much as you can. We did a family shoot with grandmothers Linda and Roelien and grandpa Willem (if you ask me, they don't look like grandparents at all) and last but not least, a little cutie called Simone ;) I had so much fun capturing these moments, I struggled a bit choosing the photos for the blog - there were a lot more I wanted to post, and I apologize for uploading so many at once, but I HAD TOO - I just love these shots. Lyle & Lindi’s Booth!

For their booth Lindi wanted fairy lights, you will see from their wedding post that the venue had lights everywhere, it matched the theme so well. First I'm going to add my favourite photo of the booth...This was a very spontanious shot, Thinus and X are only friends, so I tried my matchmaking skills and asked them to kiss for me :) When they kissed I got butterflies in my tummy, such an awesome moment.

I've been so busy that I haven't even realized that my previous post was the 100th blog post! YEAH! So today I'm celebrating my 101th blog post. I will strive to post as much as I can, although it is proving difficult with my work load, but better late than never.

So it is great pleasure that post number 101 should be about Lyle & Lindi, I loved their wedding, they got married at Likweti (previously known as K'shani), just opposite of the Kruger International airport. Likweti is an African paradise, with rhino's and antelope walking freely within the estate. If you are visiting South Africa for the FIFA World Cup and your going to Nelspruit, you might want to stay over at Likweti - you will have a great African experience. Plus its close to the Kruger National Park (Numbi Gate).

Giulio & Rene

Giulio and Rene are from the lowveld, we did their shoot at the Botanical Gardens in Nelspruit. These two were so shy when we started but when as we got to the end of the shoot they really started having fun, they are both so down to earth :) Giulio & Rene are getting married in in April at Umbhaba Lodge in Hazyview. I've taken a couple of weddings in Hazyview and really just love it, they have stunning venues in that area.

Introducing Nicolien Lourens

In the beginning of Feb 2010 I was introduced to another Lourens, Nicolien. She is so small and stunning, and she fought really hard to keep her eyes open for the shots, but struggled a bit ;) what an honour to do yet another shoot for them, looking forward to seeing your family grow :)
