Fielies & Melissa {Wedding} Part 2

Their day just kept on getting better. We went over to Fielies farm to do the Bride&Groom photos and came accross this beautiful dam wall (okay, I was probably the only one that thought it was stunning, but, non the less, a photographer knows best, right?) And as if it isn't enough, I thought that everything there was beautiful, the pack house, the road and the stunning landscapes that surrounded the farm.

p style="text-align: justify;">I dont know if I've said this before, but Fielies & Melissa were my shyest couple ever, but its really cute and I got so many great shots - sometimes shyness just works out great. I did their engagement shoot in August this year on their cattle farm in Hectorspruit, if you haven't seen it yet, go check it out -> here!

They tied the knot at Fielies' parents house in Kaapmuiden - I would love to do my wedding at a house too. If you've never experienced a home wedding before, you have my sympathy! It is probably the most relaxing wedding I've been to...EVER! And not only that, the scenery was amazing, we could see all the farms in the Kaapmuiden area and beyond, over looking the Baberton mountains, there was a light breeze, so it wasn't too hot and of course the food was amazing, done by my favourite Lowveld catering company, Stoep Cafe!

Schalk & Rynali {Wedding} Part 2

Part 2 of Schalk & Rynali's Wedding. I have to thank Marlize, Rynali's maid of honour, she helped me out taking some photos here and there. She also studied graphic design & photography :D It's always nice to have someone help out, Marlize you are awesome!

Can I just say that my bride & groom looked so stunning! It was so special doing the bride&groom session - when Schalk & Rynali looked at each other it was really hard to get them to look away. I could see how happy Schalk & Rynali was and how they just wanted to stare at each other the whole time. Okay, and Schalk wanted to stare at the beautiful BUICK too, who wouldn't, what a stunning car, it fits so well with the couple. I stand to be corrected, but I think the Buick is a 1950's Super Riviera with a eight cylinder engine (who knows...I'm a girl, so I really don't have any knowledge...I just googled it ;) all I know is that it's really pretty, like my bride & groom. Do you remember Schalk & Rynali? I shot their e-session a couple of months ago, to view it, go HERE!

The day started out beautifully! It was blue skies and clouds (just the way I like it). Spring had just started and everything was new! On this day Schalk & Rynali stood before God and made the ultimate promise, to love one another, forever. Both of them were so excited for this day to start (Once dressed, Rynali stood at the window, looking out and asking when everyone was going to move in to the church - she didn't want to wait a minute longer), Schalk was already in the church waiting. It made me so excited for them, they started their life together on 11 September 2010.

Part 2 of this lovely wedding. It was such a beautiful day. I also got a chance to shoot at Irene Dairy Farm again, I seriously love that place. If you know of places in PTA or Joburg, similar to Irene Dairy Farm please let me know :) would love some new shooting grounds. So excited to post these photos, enjoy!

Rudy & Luzanne {Wedding} Part 1

I met Rudy & Luzanne in the beginning of the year and thought; WOW, what a lovely couple. It would be a real treat to photograph these two...well, turns out I was fortunate enough to shoot their wedding. The wedding was in a class of its own, Luzanne's so organized, when I met up with them before the wedding, she had this huge wedding file (like the one you always see in the Movies...chick flicks) she had everything that you can possibly imagined, I was in awe. The wedding was held at the Irene Country Lodge with its beautiful chandeliered hallways and bathrooms...yes the bathrooms have chandeliers. And it was so so fitting, Luzanne & Rudy's theme was chandeliers inspired. It screamed style and sophistication.

Ruan & Mary-Ann {Wedding} Part 1

Okay, blogging again, feels kind of weird. It has been so long since I blogged that I actually had to sign in again, WOW! Well there is good reason for my absence...I've been on holiday for a while and it was amazing! More about my holiday to come soon.

First off, Ruan & Mary-Ann's wedding was the kick-off of the new wedding season, and what a great way to start. The wedding was in the Lowveld (Komatipoort) on Ruan's family farm. If you have ever been to Komati you will know that there is only a barb-wired fence separating it from hell (and this is not me talking bad about my hometown, I love the people and the amazing fresh air) It 's just hot! I think I drank around 4 liters of water in about 3 hours while shooting. Anywhoo, enough about that.

I shot Mary-Ann's sister, Malenke's wedding the previous month, also in the Lowveld. I just have to say that these girls really know how to throw weddings. Next year I'll be shooting Ruan's brothers wedding and I can't hardly wait! I'm sure they will organize the wedding with their eyes closed ;) Everything from the food to the music was amazing!

A beautiful wedding on a really stunning hot day! Mary-Ann looked amazing and Ruan looked like a real gentlemen. Hope you enjoy the first part.

Boeta & Malenke {Wedding} Part 1

What a wonderful wedding to celebrate! I am happy to report that Boeta is doing great, he had the bullet removed a couple of months ago and is going strong. For those of you not in the know, here is Boeta & Malenke's post on what happened the day of their couple shoot.

Boeta and Malenke got married on the 24th of July at Kwa Madwala Game Reserve, near Hectorspruit in the Lowveld. Kwa Madwala means Place of the Rock, and you'll soon see why. This magical place has rock everywhere and its so beautiful. The Reserve have a lot of game including lion, rhino, elephant, and occasionally leopard that guest can see on their game drive. The reception was set in a dried up river bank in the middle of the bushveld, and the food made by Stoep Cafe in Komati was delicious! Oooh, now I cant wait for Ruan and Mary-Ann's wedding next weekend...nom,nom,nom :D Part 2 coming in a couple of hours.
